Our Story
Welcome to Knowvate Hub
Knowvate Hub is an initiative born from the shared experiences and entrepreneurial drive of our diverse founding team. We strive to uplift ethnic minority entrepreneurs and provide them with the necessary support and resources to start and grow their businesses.
Our Mission
We are determined to create a supportive and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our programs and initiatives are tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs within ethnic minority communities, providing mentorship, coaching, access to business resources, and more. Our mission is to foster a strong network of like-minded individuals who, through collaboration and the exchange of ideas, can drive innovation and success.
The Challenge We Face
The journey of an entrepreneur is filled with obstacles. For ethnic minority entrepreneurs in particular, one significant challenge is the limited access to venture capital funding. Between 2009 and 2019 in the UK, less than 0.4% of all VC funds allocated to founders went to Black entrepreneurs. This narrative is not one we can accept. At Knowvate Hub, we are committed to advocating for a level playing field, pushing for greater access to funding for underrepresented founders.
Our Community
By joining Knowvate Hub, you are stepping into a vibrant, diverse community of entrepreneurs. We embrace a spectrum of backgrounds, experiences, and ideas, and are unwaveringly dedicated to supporting our members in achieving their goals.
The Future We Envision
We envision a brighter future where entrepreneurs from ethnic minority communities are not just participants, but leaders in the thriving Scottish business ecosystem. Together, we are committed to creating this future, one step at a time. Join us on this journey and let's change the narrative together.
